Meet the caring, friendly Staff
Our dedicated, caring team are ready to welcome you to Meadow Lodge.
We strive to provide you with a quality service, in a caring, competent and professional atmosphere. We encourage and enable our residents to live as full, interesting and independent a lifestyle as possible.
We are also committed to ensure residents are fully consulted about matters that effect their well being and quality of life.
Karen Shann – Registered Manager.
Karen has been a registered nurse since 1980, she has 20 years experience owning and running Meadow Lodge.
Lorraine Coultas – Deputy Manager.
Lorraine has NVQ LEVEL 4 in care and holds the registered managers award she has worked in the social care sector since 1996. Lorraine is also qualified to teach moving and handling to other carers, she is also a fully qualified NVQ assessor.
Team Leader – Mary Riley.
Mary has NVQ level 3 in care; she has worked at Meadow Lodge for 20 years. Mary was nominated and made it into the final four of Best Care Home Worker in the Great North Care Awards 2008.
Team Leader – Margaret Frackleton.
Margaret has NVQ level 3 in care; she has worked at Meadow Lodge for 10 years.
There are four Senior Carers, who take responsibility for running the shifts in the absence of the team leaders. The senior carers have numerous qualifications between them they have all worked at Meadow Lodge for many years.
Care Assistants- there is a good combination of full and part time care assistants. They are trained to the National Minimum Standards, many have qualifications that exceed the standards.
Meadow Lodge has high staffing levels and an excellent retention of staff.
I’ve been here 13 years, I am very happy, I have never had a dull moment at Meadow Lodge. It is my home away from home
